Joel Whittemore

Joel joined Clairfield’s London office in 2023. He works as part of the execution team across a variety of sectors.

Joel previously worked for five years in private asset valuations at S&P Global (via its acquisition of IHS Markit in 2022). He valued illiquid debt for investors in corporate midmarket loans, direct lending, infrastructure debt, and distressed and special situations. In this role, Joel also valued private equity positions for clients investing across VC, growth stage and mature companies and helped develop data management and processing tools within the team.

While at university, Joel completed internships at a family office and an asset liability management consultancy in Vancouver, Canada. Joel is a CFA charterholder (2022) and graduated from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, Canada with a bachelors degree in commerce.
