Clairfield has strengthened its partner team in the Netherlands with the appointment of Rob Speek and Wouter Giard. Following the celebration of its 20th anniversary last year, Clairfield remains ambitious and committed to growth. In their new roles, Rob and Wouter will play a key part in driving Clairfield’s expansion in the Dutch market.

Strengthening Clairfield’s leadership team

“With Rob and Wouter, we are bringing on board two highly experienced professionals who not only possess deep expertise in M&A and private equity but also align perfectly with Clairfield’s culture and client focus,” says Frank de Lange, founder of Clairfield Netherlands.

Rob Speek’s career highlights

Rob brings over 17 years of corporate finance experience, having held roles at Kempen & Co, Houlihan Lokey, and AXECO, where he managed private equity and deal execution. His extensive track record includes numerous M&A transactions across sectors such as industrial, business services and energy. Recent deals he has advised on include the sales of Jumpsquare, Mogelijk, De Jong Gorredijk and BauWatch.

Regarding his move to Clairfield, Rob commented, “I was drawn to Clairfield’s entrepreneurial culture and international focus. Here, we can truly make a difference. By engaging with clients and uncovering their true motivations, we can offer solutions that genuinely add value.”

Wouter Giard’s career highlights

Wouter began his career in 2008 at ABN AMRO, where he contributed to rebuilding the bank’s investment banking activities and worked on a broad range of M&A transactions. After a decade, he joined PwC Corporate Finance, focusing on midmarket M&A, particularly in business services and technology. His transaction experience includes advising on the acquisition of PNO for Bencis, the sale of Finance Club to Projective, and the sales of Figlo and Intergrip to Vitec Software Group.

“The opportunity to join a highly experienced team across diverse industries worldwide was a key factor. Rob and I both knew of Clairfield’s impressive track record in M&A advisory and are eager to contribute to its growth,” says Wouter about his ambitions in his new role.
