Giving back together: Clairfield’s commitment to our communities

In the spirit of the season, we would like to take a moment to recognise the most valuable changemakers in the world: the charities and organisations that work tirelessly to create a better future.

As we close another successful and significant year, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our clients for their support and trust in us throughout the past year. Through their continued support, we can uphold our commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Our team takes great pride in our charitable endeavours — whether through fundraising, volunteering, or offering educational and pro bono business support.

We are proud to showcase the charities and initiatives supported by Clairfield’s partners, colleagues, and clients globally.

We wish everyone in our community a healthy and happy holiday season and a prosperous 2025!

The mission of the ISL Foundation in Spain is to improve communities through sport and “put smiles on faces, making the world a better place, one opportunity at a time.” The donation was in memory of Brian O’Hare, our friend, colleague, and avid sportsman.

Un Enfant par la Main

Founded in 1990, Un Enfant par la Main is a ChildFund Alliance member supporting over 150,000 disadvantaged children and their families in 21 countries in Africa, China, and South America. In Madagascar, Un Enfant par la Main helps children obtain birth certificates to recognise their fundamental rights, including education and healthcare.

The Max Foundation is an innovative NGO dedicated to transforming lives by providing safe water, sanitation, hygiene, nutrition, and care to vulnerable communities. Their mission focuses on ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive, prioritising sustainable solutions for healthier futures. The Max Foundation delivers cost-effective, life-saving programmes that combat preventable diseases and malnutrition through collective action and impactful partnerships.

With our clients — who joined us for our summer event in July and our winter skating event in December — we proudly donated a substantial amount to the Max Foundation on behalf of Clairfield.

The NGO Deutsche Krebshilfe manages an annual budget exceeding 100 million euros. In collaboration with the German Olympic Sports Federation, they have launched a joint programme to promote cancer prevention and support treatment through physical activity and sports.

Clairfield partner Dirk Middelhoff, a passionate supporter of this charity, says, “I’m proud to support Deutsche Krebshilfe and its cooperation with the German Olympic Sports Federation on the ‘Sport Against Cancer’ initiative. As both a triathlete and former cancer patient, I understand the vital role that support systems play and, even more importantly, the transformative impact of physical activity on prevention and the healing process.”

Rotary Club is one of the world’s largest and most successful global membership and humanitarian service organisations, with 1.2 million members in over 200 countries. The Rotary Club has continued its much-needed work in driving final eradication of polio worldwide, together with the Gates foundation, as well as bringing medical supplies to Ukraine, and helping Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Several partners of Clairfield support Rotary in the local chapters and communities.

The Order of St. John, with origins in the medieval Knights Hospitaller, provides healthcare and rescue services to the elderly and needy in various countries in Europe, largely in the UK and Germany, and comparable services and disaster relief around the world. In addition to ambulance services the order operates acute care hospitals, nursing homes, and special needs institutions in Central Europe as well as local help organizations for the disabled, elderly, and youth mentoring. Alexander Klemm and Albert Schander support the order in Germany.

Kurtaran Evlink, meaning “The Home That Saves,” is a living space and social responsibility project dedicated to providing temporary shelter for animals in need until they find permanent homes. Operating across three locations in Istanbul, this animal fostering NGO has rescued 1,300 dogs and 400 cats from the streets and municipal shelters to date.

Migdal Ohr is a prominent educational and social service organization helping over 10,000 at-risk children annually. They provide housing, education, and mentorship to transform underprivileged youth into empowered and contributing members of society. The organisation is recognised for its innovative programmes and has produced thousands of alumni who have become leaders in various fields.

Our Australian team dedicates a day of giving to a local charity every year, with this year’s support going to Guide Dogs Queensland. Guide Dogs Australia provides essential services to individuals of all ages with blindness or low vision so that they gain the confidence and independence to navigate their communities safely.

Clairfield’s Australian team is a longtime supporter of initiatives at the University of Queensland that reflect its commitment to education, diversity, and inclusion. The “InterFinancial Excellence in Economics Scholarship,” established in 2019 in memory of founder Paul Rogers, provides financial assistance to disadvantaged economics students. Another initiative is the QUT Law Founders’ Scholarship Fund, created by majority shareholder Sharon Doyle, to support first-year law students facing financial hardship through scholarships, educational resources, and peer connections. The team also supports the UQ Women’s Network, a student society dedicated to empowering young women with the skills, confidence, and network to excel in traditionally male-dominated industries. This aligns with Clairfield Australia’s own identity as a majority female-owned company, with a majority-women board and predominantly female staff, who are all committed to playing it forward.
