RAS SCI partnered with CERTANIA
Clairfield advised the shareholders of RAS Group on its partnership deal between RAS SCI, the UK’s leading provider of supply chain assurance and compliance solutions, and CERTANIA, a global Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) specialist.
RAS SCI is headquartered in Bromley, UK and has long-standing relationships with its blue chip client base across the retail and grocery sectors. The company’s advanced technology and expert network of over 450 specialists enable it to optimise supply chain performance, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support clients’ ESG goals.
CERTANIA is a global TIC company offering services in the areas of Food & Environment, Pharma & Life Science, ESG Analytics and Climate Strategy as well as Management Systems Certification and Testing of Materials, Buildings, and Infrastructure. CERTANIA, a group with revenue forecast to exceed €200m this year, has PE backing from Greenpeak and Summit Partners to pursue a buy and build strategy to form a world class TIC business.
Clairfield worked closely with the shareholders of RAS Group to review their strategic options and establish how to realise the potential for the RAS SCI business. CERTANIA was identified as the best partner to accelerate growth in Europe and unlock strategic value. The Clairfield team comprised Partners James Grenfell and Angus Russell, Director Peter Waplington and Executive, Andy Kennedy.

The transaction also provided a partial exit for Beechbrook Capital who had provided funding in 2022.
