Clairfield advises SAAB on the divestment of QPS

SAAB divested the Dutch‐based company QPS (Quality Positioning Services), a provider of hydrographic software solutions for the global maritime industry.

The decision is in line with SAAB’s strategy to optimize its product portfolio and to increase focus on their five core areas: Aeronautics, Sensors, Command & Control, Advanced Weapon Systems and Underwater Systems.

QPS’ software tools are used for hydrographic data acquisition, data processing, 4D geospatial processing and analysis, precise marine navigation and the production of Electronic Navigation Charts (ENC).

The company serves a global, well known client base. QPS offers innovative, flexible and continuously improved products, developed by in-house development teams. The company has locations in the Netherlands, Canada, USA and UK and employs approximately 75 FTE.

Total Specific Solutions is a leading European Vertical Market Software group. As part of Constellation Software Inc. (CSI), one of North America’s largest software companies and listed on the Canadian Stock Exchange, Total Specific Solutions is always seeking acquisition opportunities to add value to new and their existing vertical markets.

Clairfield acted as exclusive financial advisor to SAAB AB.
