Clairfield International advises Rolmer on its sale to FrenchFood Capital
Laurent Mauray sold Rolmer, a French leader in the production of seafood dishes, to the French entrepreneur Eric Levet and the private equity fund FrenchFood Capital.
Rolmer produces carpaccios, tartares, brochettes, and other seafood-based dishes, which are mainly sold in supermarkets, food stores, and restaurants.
Under Laurent Mauray’s management, the company based in Challans, France, grew from EUR 8 to 24 million in revenues in 2021, gaining new customers, extending product range, and developing unrivalled expertise in ultra-fresh dishes.
FrenchFood Capital is an entrepreneurial fund investing in attractive food companies. They become the majority owner.
Before investing in Rolmer, Eric Levet managed two companies in a similar sector: Blini (sold to Labeyrie in 2005) and Locafrais (sold to Petit Forestier in 2017). With FrenchFood Capital, he will continue to grow Rolmer, developing the frozen food sector and new market channels.
Laurent Mauray was advised by Clairfield International (France, Nantes) who organized the one-to-one process with FrenchFood Capital.
