Clairfield advises Granotec do Brasil on its sale to Corbion

Granotec do Brasil, a food-ingredient manufacturer, was sold to the Dutch Corbion.

Headquartered in Curitiba, in the south of Brazil, Granotec manufactures functional ingredients for the bakery, beverage, and dairy industries.

Corbion is a Dutch food and biochemicals company headquartered in Amsterdam. It produces bioingredient-based foods, chemicals derived from organic acids, and lactic acid-based solutions for the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.

Given that industrial bakeries are Corbion’s core customer group, this acquisition will allow an attractive growth opportunity for the company to expand the bakery business geographically and to extend the North American bakery-solution provider model into Latin America.

With the help of the Clairfield International consumer team, buyers were identified in seven different countries.
