Marcel Franzen

Marcel has over 25 years’ experience in global corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions advisory. As an M&A advisor to listed corporations, family businesses and entrepreneurs, financial sponsors, and family offices, Marcel has executed more than 50 M&A advisory assignments mostly with a focus on Swiss cross-border transactions. On the capital markets advisory side, Marcel has worked on the preparation of IPOs, rights issues, equity offerings, and alternative fundraising.

Marcel began his career in 1999 at Merrill Lynch in New York and London. He built up the Swiss investment banking business of Morgan Stanley out of London and Zurich between 2006 and 2013. He then became a partner at Swiss Capital Group (now Alantra) before founding Franzen & Company as an independent boutique investment banking firm in Zurich in 2013.

Marcel holds a master’s degree in finance and business administration from the University of St. Gallen.
